List Building Tips for Beginners

This article tells you about List Building Tips for Beginners. List building is one of those things new marketers (and some not so new) tend to put off, simply because they feel intimidated.  In order to achieve real online success, list building must be implemented into your marketing tactics.  If you’re relatively new to online marketing, here are some tips that will make it easier.

List Building Tips for Beginners

List building begins with good content

Make sure your website, blog, and the articles you write offer content that provides value and information that your readers want.  By building your reputation as an expert, people will be far more likely to sign up for your list.  Make your content compelling – people don’t want to read the same old thing they’ve read on a dozen other sites.

Write articles to build your list

When you write lots of articles, you’re putting yourself and your offer in front of many more people who may be interested in what you have.  In your author resource box, link to a “squeeze” or lead capture page.  This page should only have two options:  to sign up to your list or to leave.

Also, place an opt-in box on every single page of your website or blog so that you don’t miss a single opportunity to add someone to your list.

Build your list with an incredible offer

In order to get someone to sign up to your e-mail list, you need to offer a free giveaway that is perceived as valuable to the potential subscriber.  This could be a free e-book, e-mail course, video, weekly newsletter, etc.  Just make sure it provides your subscriber with information they can use so that they do not unsubscribe.

On your squeeze page, let your visitor know what incredible value they will be receiving through your offer.

List building is not hard, and is, in fact, essential for your success.  Without a list, you’re leaving a ton of money on the table.  If you have been putting it off, don’t wait a minute longer to start building your list!
